Curriculum
The most current National Curriculum, introduced in September 2014, is the driver for the curriculum that we offer. However, we believe that children should experience more than the bare minimum covered in that document. The curriculum intent at Old Fletton is:
"To provide opportunities that enable our children to have the skills, knowledge, understanding, confidence and desire to achieve the highest standards of which they are capable. Enabling them to play an active part as responsible and caring members of the school community and beyond."
Our curriculum is designed, not only to meet statutory requirements, but also to maximise opportunities to know and remember more whilst enthusing our children with a love of learning: ensuring that they are equipped intellectually, socially and with a strong sense of morality for life in modern Britain. More information on our curriculum is available in our Curriculum Statement which can be found in the policies section.
Our curriculum is under constant review and we hope that you will be able to find out everything you want to know about it from these pages but in the meantime if you have any questions please telephone (01733) 554457 or email us office@oldfletton.peterborough.sch.uk and we will direct your enquiry to the appropriate member of staff.
