Year 5 had a great time at the National Space Centre; we enjoyed going up the rocket tower and exploring space-themed activities. There were lots of opportunities to have hands-on experiences with some of the technical features of rockets and space craft. The children learned about different astronauts and their roles within a space craft. We explored the solar system, which linked nicely to our Science learning, looking at the different planets and heliocentric theory. We all went into the interactive theatre for an educational and fun show about gravity and astronauts in space!
