STAR - standards and review

This committee supports and challenges the Headteacher to ensure the curriculum and the associated assessment systems are impacting positively on outcomes without creating unnecessary workload. Time is spent looking at particular performance of groups of children, including Pupil Premium and children with SEND. Policies associated with the curriculum and behaviour are delegated to this committee, this includes the Sex and Relationships Education Policy. The committee monitors the professional development of staff to ensure quality first teaching, which is recognised as having the greatest impact on standards, is of the highest possible standard.
